13/48 Arle House II

House. C17,C18, early C19. Brick, with a tile roof. Regular front (east) of 2-storeys and attic, 6 windows. Red brick walling in Flemish bond, blue header 1st floor band, rubbed flat arches to the ground-floor, plinth. Sashes in architraves. Early C19 doorcase (at the 3rd bay) with open pediment, broken cornice above carved brackets, thin panelled pilasters, panelled re- veals, and 6-panelled (2-top-glazed) door. A plain doorway at the north side (6th bay) has a solid frame and ½-glazed door. The rear of the house is older, with timber-framing, shafted stack, and catslide to the roof. The north wall has flint at the base of the gable, with English bond brickwork above, con- tinuing westward as Flemish bond, with blue headers. C20 features and exten- sions at the rear:
