Public-House. C17, C18, C20. Timber-frame core encased and added to in brick, painted with weatherboarded bay, old plain tiled roof. C17 building encased in brick, with parallel range added to rear mid C18 with late C18 weatherboarded bay added to front part. Road front 2 storey, 3 window range. Centre and left have C20 enclosed timber and glass verandah in front of C18 door and door and window. At left end C19 3-light camber headed window. Above verandah C20 single casement and C19 3-light casement. At right projecting 2 storey wing ending in 5-sided bay, all weatherboarded. On each floor centre has 8 by 3 paned window with 4 by 3 paned windows either side all in same frame. Roof of bay is conical and main roof is half-hipped at right. Ridge stack behind bay and stack behind ridge at right. C20 single storey bays at left end and C18 octagonal bay at right end of parallel range. On front carved Feathers of the Prince of Wales, mounted on an iron bracket commemorating a visit by the Prince of Wales in 1780.
