Medium-sized country house. Mid C19. Yellow brick, stone dressings, slate roofs. Plan of 3 storey building, 3 bay main part, low 3 storey, 3 bay service range with 2½ storey crosswing of 3 bays on end and 1½ storey 2 bay service range beyond. Entrance front has main part to RH with projecting full-height gabled projection to centre. To LH of this, projecting further forward, Tudor style porch, with 4-centred arch in square reveal, carved coat-of-arms over, and round it label, diagonal buttresses and battlements. Above it 3-light mullion and transomed window. To centre projection 6-light mullion and transomed window with large central mullion. On 1st floor oriel window with cross window to front. To RH bay 6-light mullion window and cross window over. On 2nd floor 2-light mullioned window to each bay. All window with labels and leaded lights. Dutch gables to each bay, larger to projecting centre. Kneelered gable walls on ends. Large ridge stacks between bays. To RH service range with assorted mullioned casements, and set-back 2nd floor with crenellated parapet, single storey rectangular projections in front of end bays, and to RH crosswing projects a bay and carries on features, except for Dutch gable on end of parapet. Garden front rather flat. Main part has 3 gables, canted 2 storey bays in front of end bays, service range set back with central gable on plain parapet, in front 2 storey flat-roofed projection with crenellated parapet. Crosswing in line with main range.
