TOTTON AND ELING REDBRIDGE CAUSEWAY SU 31 SE 5/7 Redbridge Bridge 8.10.59 II*
Road bridge over the River Test (at the lowest crossing of tidal water). Cl7. Stone rubble with ashlar dressings. Of five semi-circular arches, rising to the centre, separated by cutwaters on the south faces. The parapet follows the flanking walls at each side. The bridge being without particular ornamental treatment. The cutwater east of the middle arch marks the district boundary (with Southampton), but the bridge is accessible only from the west side. Ancient Monument.
