Barn. C17, extended early C19. Weatherboard over timber frame on
brick plinth; gabled corrugated asbestos roof. 9-bay plan with
threshing floors to 2nd and 7th bays. Plank double doors to west
side and lean-to midstreys to east side. Interior: C17 four-bay
barn has mid rails to wall framing; jowled wall posts to the beams
which have one surviving set of arch braces otherwise replaced by
C19 knee braces; collar-truss roof with full set of curved
windbraces to clasped purlins. Early C19 extension has well
framing of slighter scantling without mid rails; knee braces to
tie beams and nailed collars to trusses. Attached C20 sheds and
C19 outbuildings not of special architectural or historic
interest.
