LAWSHALL ROAD 1. 5377 Hartest Cooks Farmhouse TL 8352 17/271 II

2. A timber-framed and plastered house on an L shaped plan with wings extending to the north-east and south-east. The north-east wing is probably of the late C15 or early C16 and the south-east wing added in the late C16. 2 storeys. Small casement windows. Roofs tiled, with gambrel roofs at the north-west and south-east ends of the south-east wing and at the north-east end of the earlier wing. There is a central C19 chimney stack on each wing. The interior has exposed timber-framing and the south-east wing has good moulded ceiling beams and joists.
