FRAMSDEN PETTAUGH ROAD TM 16 SE 1/52 Barn and dairy, set corner-to-corner immediately north-west of Boundary Farmhouse, and attached garden wall
GV II
Barn and dairy, mid C16. Barn of 4 bays; the 2-bay dairy may have been a stable with lodgings above until C17. Timber-framed; the barn weatherboarded and the dairy mainly plastered with underbuilding in C19 red brick partly painted. Concrete pantiled roof, once plaintiled. Some slatted windows in the dairy. Good C16 framing: arch-braced close-studding with, at the loft over the dairy, evidence for diamond-mullioned windows; unmoulded lst floor joists and wind-braced clasped-purlin roof (renewed over barn). A C19 timber- framed porch on west side. Extensions and inserted upper floor of C20. A low C17 garden wall is attached to the north-east corner, extending c. 30 metres along the road frontage eastwards; red brick with half-round on-edge copings.
