Details

NORTH COVE LOWESTOFT ROAD TM 48 NE 6/28 Three Horse Shoes - GV II Public house. Mid C17 with C18 cross wing set forward to right. Older part with timber framed core, otherwise colourwashed brick; pantiled roof. 2 storeys with one small attic room in the main range. Various small-paned sash windows, those to the main range having stuccoed arches with keys. Mid C20 half-glazed entrance door. Each range has an internal stack: from the position of the stack in the main range it seems that this range originally extended further to the right. Much of the C17 first floor structure is exposed in the bar area, with ovolo-moulded main beams and square plain joists. On the opposite side of the stack are some heavier and evidently earlier joists. The roof over the C17 range is intact.
