Details

FRANT HIGH STREET 1. 5208 No 33 (Martlets) and 35 (Bassetts Stores) TQ 5935 35/319 II GV 2. The main portion of the street frontage is early C19. Two storeys. Four windows. Ground floor painted brick, above faced with weather-boarding. Slate roof. Glazing bars missing. Modern shop front. Behind Bassetts Stores to the north-west is a recessed section which is early C17 or earlier. Two storeys. Two windows. This is timber-framed but has been refaced with painted brick on ground floor and tile-hung above. Tiled roof. Casement windows on first floor, sash window on ground floor. Doorway with flat hood.
