Details
WITHYHAM CORSELEY ROAD TQ 53 NW (south side) 6/301 Former Stable at Corseley Farm approx 40 m to south east of house GV II Former stable, now outbuilding. Early C19, altered. Stone plinth and quoin; rear and returns of large blocks of rubblestone brought to course; front and gables of red brick with blue headers in Flemish bond. Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Openings mostly have segmental brick arches and the windows small-pane glazing and wooden sills. Central board door below flat brick arch flanked by 2-light windows; taller similar window above door. Right return: doorway, now window, on left with C20 3-light window on right and C20 2-light window to gable. Left return: gable window. Interior: chamfered cross-beams with run out stops. On first floor left gable window has board shutter; roof trusses have braces from walls up to collar (so giving clear headroom) with wall ties and through purlins. Included for group value.
