2.
Early C19. 3 storeys and basement. 12 windows. Stuccoed, the 3 east window bays
cemented and probably later. Eaves cornice. Glazing bars intact. 2 bays of 3
windows each on all floors with hipped slate roofs. Between them is a large porch
at the head of 6 steps with handrail, the porch having Doric columns, triglyph
frieze and iron balcony over. The porch is glazed and has a flat segmental fanlight
and 2 doorways in it, both with semi-circular fanlights. The east wing with the
cemented front has a curved bay of 3 windows on the ground floor, with cornice
and parapet over. In front of this and Joining it to the easternmost of the pair
of bays is a further very large curved bay containing 8 lights with fluted pilasters
between the lights and iron balcony over similar to that above the porch. This
bay is an addition, but apparently a contemporary one. Modern wings to the south-east
and rear.
Nos 41 to 57 (odd), No 55A, Nos 65 to 71 (odd) and all the walls form a group.
