TQ 3024 NW CUCKFIELD OCKENDEN LANE 7/77 The Barn GV II Originally barn, now house. C15 barn altered C17 and converted to house in 1952. Timber-framed with modern brick infilling on brick plinth. Steeply pitched tiled roof with gablet to left. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Box framing with curved braces. 3 modern casement windows. External brick stack. Roof structure, C17 Queen strut with butt purlins. Interior has jowled posts and tie-beams but most of the arched braces have been removed. This was originally a barn to Ockenden Manor.
