SEATON VALLEY (part) FRONT STREET (south side) NZ 37 SW Earsdon 4/32 (inset) Stable and carriage shed south 27.11.85 of Bleak Hope House,and walls and piers adjoining. G.V. II Stable and carriage shed. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and quoins. Welsh slate roof with flat stone gable coping on curved kneelers. 2 low storeys, 3 bays. Central elliptical-headed vehicle entrance has voussoirs; boarded door at right with 5-pane overlight, and sash window at left with projecting stone sill, have flat stone lintels; similar lintels to 3 left openings over, the central with glazing bars; all openings have chamfered alternate-block jambs. Eaves band. Serpentine walls breaking forward at left have round coping and 2 square central gate piers with rounded coping on slabs. Listed for group value with Bleak Hope House.
