Remains of east gate of Segedunum re-sited in Wallsend Park (Hall Grounds)

II G.V. Part of Roman fort re-sited 1912. Stone. 3 groups of masonry one course high in the form of corners of a rectangular building; 3 isolated blocks in line eastwards from these; and about 7 courses of wall built into the hill to the south.
