LITTLE WOLFORD SP23SE 5/78 Weston Lodge( known also as Molly's Lodge)

Lodge. c.1830. Perhaps designed by E. Blore. Squared and shaped coursed limestone with moulded plinth, string course, polygonal corner turrets, moulded eaves cornice and embattled parapet. Pyramidal slate roof with canted finial. Polygonal stone and brick end stacks. Domestic Tudor style. 2-storey, one-window range of 2-light mullioned windows, each of 2 four-centred arched lights, with hood moulds and labels. 4-centred arched doorway in embattled ashlar porch with buttress to right and carved spandrels. Plank door. Canted bay with embattled parapet to left facade. Further 2-light mullioned window above, and in gabled range to rear. Interior not inspected. History: lodge in Weston House by E. Blore, now demolished.
