Details
ALLINGTON BOSCOMBE SU 13 NE (west side) 3/4 Bourne Cottage II
House. C17. Cob on flint foundation, rendered and colourwashed. Thatched roof. One storey and attic, 3 bays. Entrance in centre bay to main living room, having axial stack to left and service room behind stack. Parlour in flush cross wing to right. Glazed door with thatched open porch. Small paned casement windows, but metal windows to cross wing. Two flush dormers. Cross wing half hipped to front and extending slightly at rear, probably once two rooms. Single rendered stack. Later single-storey extension to left, now containing main door, and garage attached to right. Interior has chamfered spine beam in living room, and timber fire lintel.
