ORCHESTON ORCHESTON ST. MARY SU 04 NE (west side) 2/194 Stable block at The Rookery GV II Stable block and tack room, now partly garage. Early-C19. Cob on brick footings, Welsh slate roof. T-plan. Gabled porch to left of main range has stable door, to right is 2-light casement with Gothic glazing bars and planked doors. Wing to left houses stables, gable with tripartite sash and 2-light casement with Gothic glazing bars on left return. Rear has inserted garage doors. Hipped roofs with deep eaves. Interior retains stable fittings such as loose boxes and cast-iron mangers.
