Once the winter town house of the Christopher family. The fine oak balustrade said to have been made by Captain Christopher from drift oak collected while with Captain Hook, has been removed. Later it became the vicarage and earlier this century the last private dwelling house in the High Street. Mod C18. 3 storeys and attic, 5 windows and a 1-window extra bay to right. Painted brick with stone rustic quoins, lintels, cills and moulded copings to parapet. Latter conceals centre gabled dormer. Extra bay has rustic quoins on left, stuccoed brick pilasters on right, band over 1st floor and stone fascia below coping. Glazing bar sash windows with flush frames (set back in extra bay). Modern shop fronts.
