Terrace of 21 houses.1830s. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Three storeys with basement, three bays to each house, but five bays each to Nos. 18 and 20, and those in Catharine St. Nos. 26/28 and 38/40 break forward under pediments. Basement lintel band; first floor sill band; top frieze cornice and blocking course. Windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars, one blind window to second floor of each house. Entrances have Ionic porches, those to Nos. 26/28, 32/34 and 38/40 are paired; two-panel doors. Iron railings to areas and steps have decorative heads. Nos. 18 and 20 have some blind windows to ground and first floors; return to No. 18 has 2 storey canted bay. Nos 38 to 48 have first floor iron balcony which projects over porches, first three bays form return to No. 156 Bedford St South, which has first-floor iron balcony.
