SUTTON VALENCE BROAD STREET TQ 8049-8149 (north side) The Post Office 7/114 and Parish 26.4.68 Council Offices (formerly listed as The Old Stores) GV II

House, now shop and offices. C17 or earlier. Timber framed. Front elevation partly rendered, partly painted brick. Painted post and arch-brace to left end of first floor. Exposed close- studding to rear. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attic. Left end of rear elevation jettied. Roof hipped to left. Projecting brick stack to left end lean-to and small brick stack in front slope of roof off-centre to left. Small hipped dormer. Irregular fenestration of two 3-light casements. Half-glazed door to left of stack, with flat bracketed hood, up 2 steps. Late C19 shop front to rest of front elevation, with central half-glazed door up 2 steps. Interior not inspected.
