Police Station. John Dixon Butler. Circa 1915. Red brick, Portland stone dressings and bands, green slated mansard roof. Designed in LCC's Arts and Crafts manner. Two storeys plus attic. Three main bays. Architraved square headed entrance to right of centre; to left a corniced canted bay window, with stone architraved square headed windows. Single similar window to right. Square headed paired windows without architraves to first floor. Cornice breaking upwards into central open pediment to centre. Two paired square headed dormers, corniced. Sashes. Glazing bars.
