Details

SD 80 SW CHARLTON AVENUE 10/178 Charlton House, two lamp- posts adjacent to south- west and south-east 15.3.83 corners.

Circa 1866, possibly attributable to Alfred Waterhouse. Victorian gothic. Red brick with stone lintels etc. 2½ storeys. 3 sash windows, some with gothic heads, side ones 2-light; left-hand one in very steep gable with arch-braced barge boards, middle one under tall pyramidal roof crowned with weather vane and on ground floor being entrance. Similar 2-bay left-hand return front slate roofs. Standard lamps in form of columns with globe lanterns, in cast iron.
