CITY OF WESTMINSTER CLIFFORD STREET W1 No. 18 (including No. 24a Old Burlington Street)

(Formerly listed as No 18, including No 24 Old Burlington Street) 24.2.58

GV II* Corner terrace house. 1723 by Timbrell and Stallwood. Brown brick, slate roof. Three storeys, basement and dormered mansard. Five windows wide with three window return to Old Burlington Street. Slightly off centre wooden doorcase with carved consoles to moulded cornice. Nearly flush framed glazing bar sash windows with red brick segmental arches and dressings. Red brick bands between floors, parapet with coping. Wrought iron area railings with overthrow and lamps. Rainwater head dated "1717".

Interior largely intact: staircase with carved tread ends and three twisted balusters per tread, fielded panelling and box cornices. Carved chimney pieces etc. Part of the Burlington Estate.
