Terraced town house. c.175o-60. Brown brick, slate roof. 4 storeys, basement and dormered mansard. Doorway to left with panelled door and Ionic columned doorcase. Recessed glazing bar sashes to ground floor and sashes without glazing bars and casements to upper floors, all under flat gauged arches. Stone cornice over 2nd floor. Parapet with coping. 1st floor early C19 cast iron Gothic pattern balcony. Wrought iron area railings with torch finials and scrollwork lampholders. Interior retains most of original decoration with fielded and ovolo moulded panelling, moulded cornices, some with good egg and dart work, statuary marble chimney pieces with flanking orders and figured tablets; cut string top lit stone staircase with wrought iron balusters with scrolled splatwork, the top landing cantilevered on well carved console brackets. The 1st floor landing with coffered soffit archway has lobby with particular feature of c. 1800 chinoiserie wallpaper, the main niche panel with kiosk in landscape; the ground floor front parlour has 2 Claudian/Hubert Robert ruin landscape painted panels etc.
