TQ 2781 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER GLOUCESTER PLACE, W1 54/13 (East side) 14.1.70 No 30 (Formerly listed as Nos 24 to 40 even) G.V. II Terrace office block, 1972-73 facsimile rebuild of c.1790 Portman Estate terraced houses. Stock brick with channelled or rusticated stucco ground floors. 4 storeys and basements. Slightly irregular terrace composition of 8 three-bay fronts. Semicircular arched doorways with fanlights, those flanking centre with false doors. Recessed sashes, under flat gauged red or yellow brick arches to upper floors. 1st floor plat band and crowning stucco friezes and cornices with blocking course. 1st floor cast iron balconies. Urn finialed area railings. Included for group value only.
