Terraced "mews house". c.1898-99, by Balfour and Turner (with shop insertion of 1929) as part of redevelopment of this part of Mayfair for the Grosvenor Estate and of similar design to No. 3. Red brick and Portland stone dressings, plain tile roof. Restrained Arts and Crafts detailing of late C17 domestic derivation. 2 storeys, basement and dormered attic in half hipped roof. 2 main irregular bays. Right hand position of front advanced with cornice-hood doorway and side lights, 3 closely grouped flush framed glazing bar sashes on 1st floor. Set back portion has plain double shop front with cornice fascia, flush framed glazing bar sashes to 1st floor. Coved eaves cornice and 2 large gabled casement dormers in roof. Cast iron area railings similar to those of No. 3.
