Details
TQ 2880 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER TREBECK STREET W1 80/150 17-12-75 Nos 1 to 5(odd) GV II Block of terraced houses. Late or possibly mid C18, the fronts stuccoed mid C19; slate roofs; 4 storeys, basement and dormered mansards. Nos 1 and 3 each of 2 windows wide, No 5 with a 3 window front and a 2 window return to Shepherd Market. No 1 has late C20 shop window and doorway. No 3 retains the frame of early C20 shop front with fascia and cornice, mid C20 glazing and doorway. No 5 has mid C20 projecting shop front. Upper floors have recessed sash windows, no glazing bars, flat arches. Parapets with copings, No 5 balustraded with tablet inscribed "Running Horse". Plain cast iron area railings. Part of the Shepherd Market development, laid out c. 1735 and built c. 1746, the builder, designer and promoter being Edward Shepherd, who built and designed on the Grosvenor and Cavendish Estates.
