CLAPHAM COMMON 1. 5033 (north side) SWll No 113 (Rochester Deaconesses' Chapel) TQ 2775 9/12 3.5.63 II 2. 1891 by Philip Webb. Three arched bays defined by shallow piers. Basement and main storey. Segmental-headed windows, each of 5 leaded lights. Yellow stocks, the spandrels between the bays and the coving harled. Tiled roof. Interior has open roof with wooden trusses. [Glass] Windows by Morris and Company from cartoons by Burnes-Jones. i. the middle south window 1911; Subjects: St Gabriel Mary, sister of Lazarus Blessed Virgin Martha St Michael all against background of trees and lilies; ii. 2 small roundels in Chancel north and south sides 1912 Each subject: angel with red wings. Window by Henry Dearle 1913 Small roundel in west wall: Subject: praying angel.
