MONTCLARE STREE E2 (West Side) 1. 4431 BOUNDARY ESTATE Porters' House (former laundry) TQ 3382 8/85 GV 2 1899. Red brick, hipped tiled roof curved to eaves. Paired chimney stacks joined by arches. Long dormer rank in roof. Wide eaves soffit with modillions and dentil cornice below. 2 storeys (and dormers) 5 windows, 1st floor 2 light, mullions and transom with leaded glazing and stucco dressings. Brick string course below sill height. Ground floor, 2 windows of 6 lights each flanking centre door with fanlight and Tudor arch. At rear, sexagonal brick boilerhouse chimney rises from square plinth. Top of chimney has wide stuccoed cornice with band of blind arcading below.
