2. Architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. Grey brick with red heads. One building but linked both to Nos 8 and 14 by flat roofed tradesman's entrance screens. Six window bays. The 2 entrance doors are on bays one and six and are on a 4½ ins projecting break. The doorcases are of the same pattern as at Nos 4, 6 and 8. The fenestration of bays 2 to 5 is close - 4 sash windows on each storey. There are 4 hipped dormers above and projecting brick aprons below the first floor windows. Three balanced stacks. A moulded wood cornice breaks around the projections. The whole is recessed behind the building line of Nos 2 to 8 and of No 14. An elevation of 2 windows overlooks the forecourts of Nos 10 and 12.
