6/16 Fen Farm House
II
Farmhouse. Late C17 with early C19 alterations. Timber frame cased in red brick, corrugated iron over thatch roof, central ridge stack. Lobby entry, T-plan. Single storey with garrets, irregular 4 bay front having off centre planked door flanked by single 2 light glazing bar fixed lights and to left a small sliding sash. All openings have timber lintels. To the left is a later pent extension. Inferior has bay posts at 6"O" centres with jowled supports for the first foloor. The beams are simply splayed and stopped as is the fireplace girder. The ladder to the servants' quarters is still in position.
