Parish church. Early C12, late C12, C14, restored 1862, 1878. Chalk, greenstone, ironstone and limestone rubble blocks, limestone ashlar dressings, some red brick. Slate roofs with stone coped gables with cross finials. Tall C19 gabled bellcote with low ashlar dressed set-offs, pointed bell opening with ashlar dressed head and hood mould, ashlar band at shoulder level and ashlar dressed gable with cross finial. West tower, nave with south porch, chancel with north organ chamber. West front rebuilt in C19 red brick with greenstone corners. 2 three stage buttresses flank single pointed window with 2 pointed, cusped lights, mouchette and hood mould. Moulded ashlar string course above. North side of nave with plinth and some C19 red brick patching. 2 C19 windows each with segmental heads, 2 cusped ogee headed lights with continuous mullion, mouchettes and hood mould. Gabled organ chamber with red brick and greenstone bands. Window inserted of c.1300 restored in C19, with pointed head and Y tracery. C19 chancel with red brick and greenstone bands and plinth. East end with 3 pointed, cusped lancets, that in centre, taller. South side of chancel with early C14 rectangular window re-set, with 2 cusped, ogee headed lights, quatrefoil and cusped oculus and half oculi. Nave with 2 C19 windows each with segmental head, cusped ogee lights, 4 mouchettes and hood mould, flank small early C12 round headed light with deeply moulded head and chamfered surround. C19 gabled porch with plinth and low angle buttresses. Pointed south doorway with chamfered head and jambs in one, hood mould and label stops. Pedestal for statue set above. Porch interior with flanking stone benches and late C12 south doorway with round head with plain chamfered outer order and chamfered inner order with dogtooth motifs of various designs. Single shafts on each side, that to left, with waterleaf capital, that to right with crocket capital. Plank doors. Pointed C19 chancel arch with double chamfered head and jambs in one. C12 richly moulded, pointed arch with dogtooth decoration, re-used in organ chamber, possibly originating from Louth Abbey ruins nearby. Various painted inscriptions over windows. C19 reredos and panelling at east end of chancel. Fine C15 eagle lectern. C14 octagonal font with 3 cusped, pointed lights to each panel, octagonal plinth and moulded base. C19 roofs. C19 pews and pulpit. C13 cross head with flowerhead decoration on north-west window ledge of nave.
