2/23 Pigeoncote, stables, barn at Manor Farm
II
Pigeoncote, stables, barn. Late C17, with mid C18 additions and C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. Pantile roof with stone coped gables to C17 dovecote. On the ridge a weatherboarded turret with shaped pyramidal lead roof with finial and wooden knop and 3 flight holes. Single storey, single bay front with moulded string course. Central planked door with timber lintel. In the gable end a blocked opening. Pigeoncote flanked by lower mid C18 ranges, to the right, at right angles, a taller C18 range comprising barn and stables. Interior of pigeoncote has stone nesting boxes, clasped purl in roof. Stable range has clasped purlin roof.
