House. 1664, extensively remodelled 1793 with C19 alterations
and addition. Squared coursed limestone rubble with ashlar
quoins and dressings, concrete tiled roof, 2 ridge stacks, one
capped off, with ashlar bases, and brick shaft. 2 storey with
cellars, 2 bay front having to right a C19 6 panelled door with
overlight, and panelled reveals, covered by C19 large open ornate
timber porch with single turned balusters on ashlar base
supporting dentillated leaded hood with carved arched brackets.
To left a margin light sash window and to first floor 2 similar
windows. All windows have ashlar surrounds with flat lintels and
raised keystones. Beside the ground floor window lintel is a date
stone "1664", probably reset. The side front of 4 bays has to
ground floor a segmental headed archway with planked double doors
and to right 3 margin lights. To first floor are 4 similar
windows. Along the side are 3 small square openings at ground
level to the cellar. At the rear at high level a date stone of
1793.
INTERIOR retains stick baluster staircase with carved
string and turned and knopped newels. The cellar has a C17 beam
and joists.
