Details

1. 1671 BARN HILL (West Side) No 4 TF 0207 1/26 22.5.54. II* GV 2. 2 houses, now one. The southernmost half is oflate C18 in ashlar, with moulded stone cornice, and low parapet hiding roof. Ivy covered. 3 storeys. 3 windows in plain reveals, double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has arcaded treatment with round-headed windows divided by pilasters with moulded capping. The centre opening contains a bulls-eye window only. Thee outer 2 have round-arched windows, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, Plinth. A good moulded stone stack. The northern half is of C17 date, with modern casement windows set in flush frames. One single and one 3-light window on 1st floor. One 3-light window on ground floor. Modern door of 4 panels, 2 glazed in plain stone frame with rusticated keystone, and a moulded stone pediment on brackets. Good stone stack. Plinth.

Nos 2 to 6 (consec), Barn Hill House, Wall & Gatepiers with Gazebo in garden of Barn Hill Housse form a group.
