GREAT HALE CHURCH STREET TF 1442-1542 (south side) 12/41 30/7/87 No.18 Fenland House II

House. Late C17, altered C19 and C20. Origianlly mud and stud, clad in brick in Flemish bond in late C19, half hipped slate roof, 2 ridge stacks. Single storey, 5 bay front with off-centre C20 door flanked by pairs of plain sashes with segmental arched heads. Interior retains 3 early C18 raised and fielded doors, one with H and L hinges, chamfered girders with run out stops, a handsome Art Nouveau fireplace with tiled surround and a trapped purlin softwood roof. The tops of the bay posts of the rear wall are visible in the roof space.
