Details
BURTON OVERY MAIN STREET (West Side) SP69 NE 3/14 The Old House GV II House, formerly several dwellings. Late C17 (raised a storey C19), C18 and C19. Red brick with fragment of timber framing and rubble stone plinth. Swithland and Welsh slate roof with 2 brick ridge and a brick rear stack. 2 storeys of 7 windows in 3 builds. Left build has door and garage door with 3-light horizontal sliding sash over. Central build has part-glazed door, 2 1-light casements, 2-light and top opening 3 light. 2 3-light and 2 2-light casements over. Wall post visible centre left. Right build has wooden doorcase with 6-panelled door (top panels glazed) and flat bracketted hood, and 3-light casement to right. 2-light and 3-light casement over, both with top lights. Moulded eaves cornice. Inside the central build are fragments of timber framing and a tie beam truss.
