Details

AB KETTLEBY WARTNABY ROAD (South Side) SK 72 23 No 21 and attached 23/236 outbuilding 3.8.79 GV II Farmhouse. Dated 1626 (?), altered and extended c1800. Coursed squared ironstone, Swithland slate roof, rendered ridge and end stacks. L-plan originally, now T-plan. 2-storey, 2-window range. 4-panel door, originally central, now to left of centre, with pegged wood surround. Worn limestone datestone above inscribed 1626 (?). 3-light casement windows to wand and 1st floors with segmental-arched heads except for 2-light window to ground floor left. Stepped brick eaves. Right end bay, added c1800, of red brick in Flemish bond has storey band and is windowless to street. Single-storey outbuilding range to left of coursed squared ironstone with pantile roof. Interior has boxed spine beams.
