House, now business premises. Mid C18, altered C19. Red brick, rendered to
front, plain-tile roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit central staircase plan.
2 storeys and attic; 3-window range.
Central 6-panel part-glazed door with fanlight and moulded wood surround.
Canted bay window to left, shop window to right.
C19 horned sash windows to 1st floor. Small painted plaque over central 1st
floor window inscribed THE ELMS. Moulded painted brick eaves and 3 hipped
dormer windows. Single-storey extensions to left and right.
Interior: Stone-flagged hall, ogee stop-chamfered spine beams, some boxed.
Open fireplace to former kitchen with stop-chamfered bressumer. Dog-leg
staircase from ground floor to attic with turned balusters. Roof has 1 tier
of chamfered purlins and some original rafters. A number of C18 2-panel
doors.
