House, formerly one of the cottage homes built by the Leicester Poor Law Union in 1884. Architect I Baradale. Brick and Welsh slate roof with cruciform plan. Main range of 3 bays and 2 storeys. Central bay projects forward, rear extension is kitchen wing. "Queen Anne" style. Irregular fenestration mixing 2 and 3 light casements and sash windows, all with flat arched heads. Doorway on left hand side of projecting bay in segmental archway. On the right hand side of this bay the main roof is carried down in a catslide over a small extension. Projecting brick gable end stacks. Brick sill bands and pedimented central gable.
