Details
BELTON DODGEFORD LANE SK 42 SW 4/4 Hillparks Farmhouse and attached stable block - II
House. Mid-late C18, in 2 slightly different builds, with C19 wing to left. Red brick, C20 plain tile roof, rebuilt brick chimneys. 2 storeys and attic;3 bays with central building break. Band-courses at first and second floor levels, those to left moulded. Brick eaves with narrow dentils. Barred wooden casements, one 3-light to ground floor to left, 2 3-light to first floor. To first floor left is a 2-light horizontal sash with glazing bars, above a door in altered window opening. To ground floor right are C20 3-light and single-light wooden casements. C20 board door to right of centre. Openings to left have cambered heads, those to right have segmental heads. Tall C19 brick wing projects to left. At right end is a lower stable block with dentil eaves and steps up to loft. This is dated 1772 on brick.
