House. C17, altered and extended C19, refurbished c1980. 2 C17 bays are timber
framed with whitewashed brick infill on granite rubble plinth. Raised and
extended one bay to left in whitewashed brick. Slate roof. Brick chimneys
either side of original block and to front left corner. 2 storeys; 3 bays in
all. C20 barred wooden casements: 4-light to ground floor centre, 3-light to
right, 2-light to first floor. Upper window in right bay cuts through original
wall-plate. All upper windows have C20 board shutters. Between left bays is a
small shaped fireplace window with C20 glazing. Ground floor of left bay has
single light and C20 board door under C20 lean-to slate hood on wooden posts.
In 1975 interior was reported to have some timber framing in partition and rear
walls. Fireplace in centre bay was said to have remains of former spice cup-
board, brick arch, chamfered bressumer and timber-framed smoke hood with brick
infill. Stop-chamfered spine beam and later fireplace in right bay.
