Details

GUILDHALL LANE 1. 5304 (South Side) Nos 2 to 6 (even) SK 5804 SE 3/45 25.7.74 II GV 2. Mid C18. Being rebuilt (early 1975) behind facade. Red brick. Three storeys. Moulded stone cornice, sills and bands and chamfered quoins. Five windows, segmental brick arches with keystones, originally sashes, first floor modern mullion/transom windows, second floor two-light casements. Later C19 ground floor shop windows with cornice on console brackets and pilasters. Modern vehicle entrance on right. Steep-pitched slate roof with coped gable ends. Interior: much altered but there remains on first floor good plaster ceiling with panels and circular centre-pieces, moulded and dentilled cornice. Part of the ceiling has been covered over.

Nos 2 to 12 (even) St Martin's Cathedral and the Guildhall together with No 20 Loseby Lane form a group.
