Gate Lodge Cottage to former park of Stoughton Grange (demolished). Late C18 or early C19. Painted brick and black glazed pantiled roof. Single storey, picturesque style with Gothick details. On each side the extended eaves of the pyramidal roof are carried on rustic bracketted posts. Roof rises to central brick stack with dog toothed dentils in the moulding. Front elevation has central segmentally arched doorway flanked by Gothick arched sash windows. The door and window arches have black painted brick voussoirs with dog toothed dentils painted white. The south elevation under loggia has 3 blind trefoiled niches with detached crocketted gablet canopy over.
