Th' Owd Haystacks and Willow Barn

(Formerly listed as Barn c.30 metres south west of Higher Barker Farmhouse, SYKE HOUSE LANE (off))

Barn, probably later C17, altered. Dressed sandstone, handmade brick,
corrugated sheet roof. Rectangular seven-bay plan. High chamfered plinth of
dressed sandstone, slit breathers on three levels; wagon entrance in centre of
north side with dressed long-and-short jambstones and modern sliding door, a
window to right of this, modern lean-to beyond this (not included in the
item). West gable wall has three doorways with chamfered long-and-short jambs,
Tudor-arched lintels with brick relieving arches over them, the outer two
altered as windows and the centre with a sliding door; breathers above, and
square door to loft. Interior: roof of six collar trusses.
