7/20 Chisnall House 17.4.1967 (Formerly listed as Chisnall House Farm) - II
Farmhouse, later C17, now house, Coursed sandstone rubble, stone slate roof with chimney at gable. Three-bay baffle-entry plan, the first 2 bays of 2 storeys, the 3rd of one storey only. Quoins to outer corners, and at 1st floor of 2nd bay, chamfered plinth, doorway at right side of 2nd bay with large rectangular lintel (undercut as a slight arch) with lettering in relief now very worn, only a "G" at the top being legible; a 2-light window above it; two 5-light windows on each floor, all with chamfered reveals and ovolo stone mullions; continuous hoodmould to ground floor windows, stepped over door; separate hoodmoulds at 1st floor. Single storey 3rd bay has a hoodmould the whole width, and beneath the centre a C19 sliding sash window. Left return wall has altered stone mullion windows. To rear is modern replacement of earlier 2 storey extension. Interior: retains ovolo- moulded beams but is otherwise altered.
