4/111 Park House 16-11-1954 - II*
House, C17th. Rubble, mainly limestone, with sandstone dressings and slate roofs. 2 storeys. Windows have inner hollow chamfer and outer chamfer. To the left of the 2-storey gabled porch is a 9-light window with 2 king mullions and a hood. On the 1st floor are 2 3-light windows with continuous hood. To the right of the porch is one of 5 lights on the ground floor and one of 3 lights on the 1st floor, both with hoods. The 1st floor porch window is of 4 stepped lights with hood. The outer porch doorway is moulded with elliptical head and moulded imposts. The inner studded plank door has a chamfered surround with Tudor-arched head. Punched upon the lintel are indecipherable symbols. Chimneys on gables and to right of porch. Interior. Right- hand front room has chamfered fireplace with segmental head, and bread oven. The main ceiling joists are chamfered with stepped stops. On the 1st floor are 2 roof trusses, the right-hand (east) one mostly exposed. They are arch-braced with short king posts rising from collars and have scribed mouldings, as do those purlins which are exposed.
