ARKHOLME-WITH-CAWOOD SD 57 SE 4/7 Kitlow (or Kitchlow) Farmhouse and 4-10-1967 barn adjoining to east

House and barn. House 1676, barn early C19th. House of slobbered rubble with tile roof. 2 storeys. Ground-floor-windows rebated and chamfered with drip course, 1st floor windows chamfered. On each side of the door is one formerly of 3 lights, now with one mullion remaining. At the right is a one-light fire window. On the 1st floor are 2 windows with mullions removed. At the right is a modern window with plain reveals. The door has a chamfered surround with battlemented lintel inscribed: '1676 AS'. End chimneys. The barn, at the left, was rebuilt in watershot sandstone. It has a wide entrance with segmental arch, an external sliding door, and a blank plaque above. At the left is a blocked doorway, now a window. In the left-hand gable wall are 3 shippon doorways, the middle one a later insertion.
