GV II
House. C16 refaced early C19. Red brick in English bond, rendered on main elevation, and extended with white brick and flint. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys with roof half-hipped to left, with stacks to rear left and at end right. Regular fenestrations of 3 margin light sashes on first floor and 2 tripartite margin light sashes on ground floor with central door of 2 panels with semi-circular fanlight and doorcase with engaged columns and pediment. Projecting 1 storey half-hipped C19 wing to right with 1 wooden casement on each floor and glazed door to right, with flint walling on return and rear sides. Rear elevations of main block with exposed English bond brickwork large offset rear stack, moulded brick window surrounds and flint plinth. The house was made a considerable building C17 by James Master, but large portions were pulled down after sale to Waldershare estate after 1712 (see Hasted lX ,551-2).
