CASTLE COMBE UPPER CASTLE COMBE ST 8477 6/176 Barn to north west of Hans Farmhouse
GV II
Barn, late Medieval origins and early C19, rubble stone with corrugated asbestos roof and coped south gable with saddlestone. Lean-to opposed cart entries. 4 bay interior, possibly originally 3 bays with 2 raised cruck trusses flanking entry. Braces to collars. Left side truss has had rear blade replaced and tie beam inserted. South end wall has flush quoins, Tudor-arched loft opening and gable dove openings, all apparently early Cl9.
